Sir Richard Arkwright's showpiece Masson Mills on the river Derwent at Matlock Bath, Derbyshire are recognised as the finest and best preserved example of one of Arkwright's mills and the best surviving example of an eighteenth century cotton mill.
Masson Mills house a working Textile museum where vistors can experience a genuine atmosphere of the mill by stepping back in time to see authentic historic textile machinery spinning yarn and weaving cloth. There is also a shopping village, restaurant and car park on site.
