The oldest Aircraft Museum in the country, Salisbury Hall, was chosen by the de Havilland Aircraft Company in 1939 to develop a secret, wooden high-speed unarmed bomber, the Mosquito. The museum displays over 20 types & sections of de Havilland aircraft, including the Prototype DH.98 Mosquito (Wooden Wonder) & an active restoration programme.
